We envision that the Somali Gender Hub will become a key resource in the Somali region to share knowledge and experience, to curate history, and to provide a rich reserve of information and resources for experts, researchers, policymakers, advocates and the general populace on gender and women’s rights in the region. We believe that with an improved knowledge management system, the governments, local NGOs and international partners will be able to provide more timely, effective and informed responses to address gender inequalities and women’s rights.
