On Thursday the 2nd of October 2014, Sahro Ahmed Koshin will launch her recently published poetry book \’Sounds of Laughter/Dhawaaqa Qosolka/Farxada in Garowe. Sahro will read from her work, including a dramatized version of the highly praised poem \’I am a Somali woman\’ which recently went viral on Social Media.

She will read her 3-page long specially composed poem \’You Lit a Candle\’ in honor of the late Saada Ali Warsame\’ which will be followed by a surprise announcement on the same. The book contains some 70 poems some of which have received International Prizes such as the Dutch Rabobank Poetry Award.

The event will end with a book signing. Foreword by Abdelkader Benali. Cover picture by Angélique Verweij. Books cost 10 USD. Details of exact location will be communicated later.
